Hoberman Morph changes shape from a cube into a sphere. As the sculptural elements synchronously rotate, they align with first a cubic surface then with a spherical surface, thereby creating the smooth transformation from cube to sphere.
Hoberman was commissioned to create a work for the first ever museum exhibition about the Rubik’s Cube. As a playful homage to Erno Rubik, he created a sculpture taking his own iconic sphere design and “morphed” it into a cube.
