The Korea Aerospace Research Institute hired Hoberman to install an expanding sphere at its science centre in Jeollanam-do Province, South Korea. Seated amidst the museum’s main exhibit halls and entrance vestibule, the sculpture expands from 1.5 meters to nearly 6 meters in diameter, and has a gold-anodized aluminum finish that lends it warmth, vibrance and luster.
