
Control System Design Internship (New York, NY)
Hoberman Associates is currently seeking applicants for an internship focused on control system design and implementation. Applicants should be college seniors or graduate students willing to work at least 20 hours per week. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about engineering design and have project experience in at least one of the following areas:
- Motion Control
- Power Transmission
- Machine Design
- Physical Computing
- Mechatronics
The internship will be focused on design and development of control systems for custom sculptural work and architectural façades. Responsibilities will touch upon all aspects of system design and implementation, including performance specification, component selection, testing, analysis, and production. Applicants should have strong critical thinking and problem solving skills. Familiarity with CAD software (Rhino and Solidworks preferred) and Computer Programming (C, Java, and Python preferred) is desirable.
